The ABSC Confederation behind the FIPJP

ag AscbOn the sidelines of the Petanque Asian Championships, the Confederation held its annual General Meeting on Saturday December 21st, preceded by the Bureau meeting in the morning. Under the leadership of President Tan Sri Abdul Rahim (Malaysia), the Bureau first welcomed the continuous increase in members of the Confederation, which should reach 25 in a few weeks after ratifying the arrival of three new countries, which in turn will make the second confederation in number of federations.

The Secretary General, Ms. Lamlert (Thailand) took the opportunity to recall that Asia had been the first to create a continental confederation and that it immediately developed continental formations and helped new federations, in particular with the support of the Thai federation.
On the proposal of the treasurer, Mr. Cheah Ban Cheng (Malaysia), it was decided the annual membership fees to the FIPJP and the ABSC would henceforth be collected at the same time either in cash during an Asian championship, or by a single transfer to the International Federation, due to the difficulties of depositing into an account in Malaysia, with repayment by the latter of the part due to the ABSC.
In the afternoon, President Tan Sri first underlined that 19 national federations were present or represented, then he underlined the honor of welcoming Claude Azéma, FIPJP President present for the continental championships. The latter expressed his pleasure to be among his Asian friends and to see the proper functioning of the ASBC which modified its statutes to accommodate other boules disciplines.
The Assembly then listened to and approved the moral and financial reports and then drew up the institutional calendar for the next three years. Note the full application of the FIPJP regulations for the organization of competitions with the "International" label and the candidacy of Thailand for the 2021 World Youth and Women's Championships.
Before posing for the traditional family photo, the participants in the Assembly unanimously adopted a motion of support for the FIPJP Executive Committee by congratulating its members for the actions they carry out in favor of the development of its actions and by unequivocally condemning those who, undoubtedly for personal matters and personal ambitions, are leading destabilizing or even dissenting actions and who have nothing more to do in our community.
The day ended with the traditional family photo, the main difficulty, unlike other meetings that claimed themselves to be solemn, being to put everyone on the picture!!
