On 19 May 2022, Claude Azema, President of the WPBF, accompanied by his Secretary General Bruno Fernandez, attended the IWGA General Assembly in Madrid. The staff and the EX-CO of the IWGA prepared a wonderful welcome and perfectly organised the IFS Presidents' dinner and the General Assembly. 35 out of 37 IFS representatives participated in the General Assembly, either in person or online. Claude Azema and Bruno Fernandez had the opportunity to meet the Mayor of Birmingham, who will host the next World Games in July, but also representatives of the IOC, National Olympic Committees, the Olympic Channel and many colleagues from other IWGA member sports. After two years in which the delegates only met by video conference due to Covid 19, this face-to-face meeting was an opportunity to discuss the development and future of their respective sports together in a friendly atmosphere.
