World Championships Juniors 2026
From 30 July to 2 August, the world’s top junior pétanque players will gather in Santa Susanna, near Barcelona, in Spain. This venue will host the World Championships for the second time in five years, following the exceptional 2021 edition – organised in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic – which brought together the men’s, women’s and junior World Championships. This year, the competitions will take place outdoors, in the pleasant surroundings of the hotel complex, offering an ideal setting and a friendly atmosphere for players and spectators alike. Young players representing 23 countries are expected to take part. The FIPJP is continuing with the mixed competition format: the triples, doubles and precision shooting events will all feature teams comprising at least one young woman – the full programme will be published on this website at a later date...Amendment to the Rules of Pétanque & Jeu Provençal
Contrary to the numerous false reports regularly circulating on social media, no changes to the rules of the game have been decided for 2026. The International Federation of Petanque and Provençal Games (FIPJP) is the only body authorised to amend the rules of Petanque & Provençal Games. Any changes would only apply from 1 January 2027. In addition, we are pleased to provide you with the updated version of the Boules & Buts label, valid until 22 May 2026 – click on the logo to view the Boules & Buts label approved by the FIPJPMen's Triples World Championships
